Magrath Heights is a neighbourhood within Terwillegar Heights in southwest Edmonton. It is bounded by 23 Avenue on the north, Whitemud Creek Ravine on the east, Mactaggart neighbourhood on the south, and Rabbit Hill Road on the west.
Development began in 2003 and is ongoing to this day. Real estate in Magrath Heights is predominately low-density, single and semi-detached properties, along with some medium-density row housing and apartment style condos.
The centre of the neighbourhood is a large park site. In the northeast area there is a storm water management pond. In the northwest area, on 23 avenue, there is a commercial district that provides services such as banking, shopping and dining including Save on Foods and London Drugs.
Magrath Heights is a beautiful neighbourhood with many parks, walking trails and water features. It was designed to minimize traffic flow and promote travel by foot and bike. Residents also have access to one of Edmonton’s best natural areas – The Whitemud Creek Ravine.
Residents can easily access many amenities along 23 Avenue including Terwillegar Recreation Centre. Schools are found in adjacent neighbourhoods such as Terwillegar Towne. Commuting to the greater Edmonton area is made easy with Anthony Henday Drive.
